Caldron, rendering kettle, wash kettle… if we knew for sure how to spell miagrope, we would list that name as well. This vintage gate marked cast iron piece was donated by Grace Regier, Tabor Mennonite Church. The gate mark is a remnant of the casting process that was used in the 1800’s. In around 1890, this casting process was mostly discontinued. At least that’s what we’ve read on the internet. It has been buffed and a new coat of stove blacking applied to the outside to make it ready for your patio.
